VISOA has a storied history that goes way back to 1967, when college soccer was just getting started in America. We were one of the very first chapters to form as a state association. The founding members were a mixture of a few referees and a couple of college coaches, many of whom you can see their names in our Hall of Fame section.
For over 55 years, VISOA has been serving intercollegiate college soccer and has become one of the preeminent organizations for college refereeing in the United States. We currently serve colleges in 4 states covering over 500 games a year with our vetted and esteemed membership.
Every year, a large part of the membership are assigned postseason NCAA games, and for the past 10 years, we have had a VISOA member in the Final Four or on a final game.
